# What is the difference between 'Tax all products' and 'Tax only Taxable products'?


In preferences you'll find an option under the Tax section named **Taxing options**. 

This option lets you decide which options enable taxes on. You can either tax all the products or tax products selectively.

* **Tax all products**: Apply tax to all products regardless of "Taxable" status
* **Tax only "Taxable" products:** Apply tax to only "Taxable" products (read below)



### Where to find this "Taxable" settings in shopify?

* Go to Products in your Shopify store admin.
* Click on any product to edit it.
* Scroll down to the Pricing section and you'll notice “Charge tax on this product” checkbox.
